The 2025 National Championships for Swimming, Chess, Boccia, Archery and Judo for the Disabled concluded on September 13 in Ho Chi Minh City.

At this year’s tournament, the Dong Nai delegation participated with four athletes (three men and one woman), competing exclusively in boccia. Despite reaching three finals, the Dong Nai athletes were narrowly defeated in all matches, earning three silver medals and falling short of their target of winning a gold.
Notably, athlete Ly Duc Quyen delivered an outstanding performance, securing two silver medals for Dong Nai. In addition to his silver in the BC4 men’s singles event, Duc Quyen teamed up with veteran Nguyen Van Bich to claim silver in the BC4 men’s doubles. Pham Tuan Nghia earned the remaining silver medal in the BC2 men’s singles.

The 2025 National Championships for Swimming, Chess, Boccia, Archery and Judo for the Disabled, co-organized by the Vietnam Sports Administration, the Vietnam Paralympic Committee, and the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports, took place from September 9 to 14, attracting 317 coaches and disabled athletes from 9 sports delegations from provinces and cities across the country.
Through the tournament, the Vietnam Sports and Physical Training Department and the Vietnam Paralympic Committee will review and select athletes with strong performances to prepare a delegation for the 13th Southeast Asian Para Games in Thailand and other international para sports competitions.
