16 teams compete in Dong Nai province Yoga Club Championship

On the morning of September 20, at the Provincial Sports Training and Competition Center (Tan Trieu Ward), the Dong Nai Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism held the opening ceremony of the 2025 Dong Nai Yoga Club Championship.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Tran The Anh, Deputy Director of the Dong Nai Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, stated that the 2025 Dong Nai Yoga Club Championship is being held to create a vibrant and enriching platform for yoga enthusiasts; to provide opportunities for exchange, competition, and mutual learning to enhance techniques, skills, and training experience; and to contribute to promoting and expanding the yoga movement across the province. The championship will also serve as a basis for selecting outstanding athletes to join the provincial team for national-level competitions in 2026.

"The championship is not only a competition, but also an opportunity to promote the noble values of sport: Solidarity – Honesty – Nobility – Progress. I believe the athletes will give their all, delivering graceful and emotionally resonant performances for the audience," emphasized Tran The Anh, Deputy Director of the Dong Nai Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The championship has attracted nearly 150 athletes from 16 yoga clubs across communes and wards in the province. Competitors will vie for 34 sets of medals across seven categories, including: Yoga Asana – 6 sets; Artistic Solo Yoga – 6 sets; Artistic Pair Yoga – 5 sets; Rhythmic Pair Yoga – 5 sets, divided into five age groups: Group 1 (ages 7–17), Group 2 (18–27), Group 3 (28–37), Group 4 (38–47), and Group 5 (48 and above). Additional events include Three-person Artistic Team Yoga – 1 set; Five-person Artistic Team Yoga (all male, all female, or mixed, with no age restriction) – 1 set; and Yoga Asana Combat (open to all ages and genders) – 10 sets.

After the opening ceremony, athletes competed in contests including Artistic Solo Yoga, Asana, and Combat. The tournament will conclude on September 21
