These activities not only create a joyful and exciting atmosphere but also focus on serving local communities, spreading the spirit of unity, national pride, and motivation to build the homeland.

Vibrant cultural and artistic activities

Under the theme “The Immortal Spirit of the August Revolution and National Day September 2”, various cultural, artistic, and mass sports activities are being held across the province. Among them, Dong Nai Library (Branch 1 in Tan Trieu Ward and Branch 2 in Binh Phuoc Ward) is organizing book displays and artistic book arrangements, featuring hundreds of titles in history, politics, culture, and military studies that reflect the nation’s journey of struggle and defense of independence. In addition, the library is showcasing three special exhibitions: The August Revolution 1945; National Day September 2 – President Ho Chi Minh Reads the Declaration of Independence; and The Heroic Vietnamese Army – Glorious Tradition.

Nguyen Ngoc Yen, Director of Dong Nai Museum, said: At Branch 1 in Tan Trieu Ward, the museum is presenting the exhibition Dong Nai Police – 80 Years of Establishment, Combat, and Growth, open free to visitors until August 28. From August 28 to September 5, a special exhibition will be held to celebrate National Day. At Branch 2 in Binh Phuoc Ward, the museum maintains the Binh Phuoc Cultural Space with two thematic exhibition rooms and organizes experiential and traditional education activities for local students.

“All exhibitions are organized in open (outdoor) spaces with the aim of attracting the public and tourists to the museum in particular and to cultural and sports activities in the province in general,” Nguyen Ngoc Yen emphasized

To mark the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day, Dong Nai also participates in the National Exhibition of Achievements with the theme Dong Nai – Taking Off with the New Era at the National Exhibition Center in Dong Anh, Hanoi. The province has completed exhibition preparations for the opening on August 28.

A highlight of this year’s celebration is a live television broadcast of a special art program and fireworks display from 7:00 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. on September 2 at three venues: Provincial Square Park (Tan Trieu Ward), Suoi Cam Lake (Binh Phuoc Ward), and Dai Phuoc Commune. Dong Nai Newspaper and Radio & Television will also air commemorative programs and documentaries.

People’s Artist Que Anh, Director of Dong Nai Art Theater, said the theater is increasing performance schedules both via livestream from its stage and direct shows at local venues, serving political missions and local residents. Notably, the theater introduces a new cai luong play National Renewal, which adapts historical stories about ministry mergers in the past to reflect contemporary issues, promising engaging experiences for audiences.

Units under the provincial cultural sector are also implementing diverse cultural programs, art performances, exhibitions, and sports events across 95 communes and wards to meet people’s cultural and spiritual needs.

Strengthening visual propaganda and grassroots services

In addition to the contest and exhibition, according to Ton Thi Thanh Tinh, Director of Dong Nai Cultural - Cinema Center, the unit also promotes visual propaganda on main roads; performing arts, southern amateur traditional music and mobile film screenings to serve communes and wards in the province. In particular, the August Revolution - Immortal Heroic Song art program was performed by the Mobile Propaganda Team in coordination with localities at the system of public cultural spaces of hamlets and neighborhoods, serving the people.

A lion and dragon dance festival featuring 10 teams from across the province will take place on August 30–31. On September 1, the ward will continue with art performances and sports exchanges in disciplines such as aerobics, vovinam, traditional martial arts, sports dance, folk dance, and yoga.

Le Thi Ngoc Loan, Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, stressed: “Organizing activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2 not only creates a joyful atmosphere among the people but also helps educate revolutionary traditions, foster patriotism, and instill a sense of responsibility toward the community and society. This is also an opportunity for the cultural, sports, and tourism sector to affirm its role in accompanying socio-economic development, spreading solidarity, and nurturing the aspiration to build Dong Nai into a prosperous, civilized, and modern province.”
