Dong Nai wins gold at National Youth Swimming and Diving Championship

(ĐN)- On July 10, the Vietnam Sports Administration, the Aquatic Sports Association, in coordination with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang city, organized the Opening Ceremony of the 2025 National Youth Swimming and Diving Championship.

This year's competition attracted the participation of over 450 male and female athletes from 42 delegations from provinces and cities with strong swimming and diving movements such as: Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Hai Phong, Da Nang, Vinh Long, An Giang, Dong Nai... Athletes competed in many events such as freestyle, butterfly, individual medley, relay, speed diving, equipment diving, fin diving... with distances from 50m - 1,500m and relay events 4x100m, 4x200m.

After the opening ceremony, athletes continued to compete in the swimming finals. The 2025 National Youth Swimming and Diving Championship took place from July 5 to 10.

At the end of the competition, Dong Nai won 1 gold medal and 2 bronze medals . Among them, young swimmer Nguyen Le Gia Han excellently won 1 gold medal in the 200m butterfly and 1 bronze medal in the 100m butterfly in the 14-15 age group. The remaining bronze medal belonged to Nguyen Thanh Thuc (400m freestyle in the 12-13 age group).

Ho Chi Minh City led the competition with 35 gold medals. The Delegation of National Defense Sports Center 4 ranked second with 18 gold medals and National Defense Sports Center 5 ranked third with 17 gold medals.
