Martial artist Giang honored for winning 2 gold medals at World Kickboxing Cup

 (ĐN) - On April 25, at Tran Bien Temple of Literature, the provincial Sports Training and Competition Center, in coordination with the Dong Nai Provincial Boxing and Kickboxing Federation, organized a meeting to commend martial artist Hoang Thi Thuy Giang - a member of the provincial kickboxing team, who excellently won 2 gold medals and 1 silver medal  at the 2025 World Kickboxing Cup Championship held in Thailand.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Bui Thanh Nam congratulated and praised Hoang Thi Thuy Giang's achievement in overcoming many opponents to achieve high results at the 2025 World Kickboxing Cup Championship. Hoang Thi Thuy Giang's achievement is a significant and great event for Dong Nai sports as well as Vietnamese sports.

Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Bui Thanh Nam requested athlete Hoang Thi Thuy Giang to continue to strive, diligently train, and develop her abilities to achieve even more success for kickboxing and Dong Nai sports in the coming time, especially in preparation for the 2026 National Sports Games.

Previously, at the 2025 World Kickboxing Cup Championship held in Thailand, martial artist Hoang Thi Thuy Giang excellently won 2 silvers (50kg women's Light-Contact; 50kg women's Kick-Light) and an additional silver in the 50kg women's Point-Fighting. With this achievement, Thuy Giang set a historical record for Vietnamese and Dong Nai sports as the first martial artist to simultaneously win 2 golds and 1 silver in all 3 events she competed in at a world-class tournament.

This achievement contributed to the 7th overall ranking of the Vietnamese kickboxing team with 5 golds, 8 silvers, and 8 bronze medals.

Previously, martial artist Hoang Thi Thuy Giang, along with the delegation, leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and Dong Nai sports athletes, offered incense to report their achievements at Tran Bien Temple of Literature.
