(ĐN)- The People's Committee of Bien Hoa city yesterday coordinated with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Dong Nai Sports Federation to organize the opening ceremony of the Olympic Run Day for Public Health, the third team running event of Bien Hoa city in 2025.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Bien Hoa city, Nguyen Xuan Thanh, stated that the ceremony of the Olympic Run Day for Public Health aims to encourage people to do physical exercise regularly to stay fit and healthy. Thanh emphasized that the Olympic Run Day for Public Health is a key sports activity aimed at responding to International Olympic Sports Day and encouraging people to participate in physical exercise activities.
This is an opportunity for people not only to raise awareness of the benefits of practicing sports but also to affirm the community's commitment to improving the quality of life, preventing diseases, and enhancing health and happiness among the population.
After the ceremony, nearly 1,000 athletes from 26 teams representing wards, communes, and organizations across the city participated in a collective run with a distance of 1,000m, creating a lively and exciting atmosphere on the central streets of the city.
At the end of the event, the organizers awarded prizes to the high-ranking teams. Among them, the two teams from Tan Phong 2 and Tan Phong 1 won first and second places respectively. The third prize went to the team from Tam Phuoc.
