Dong Nai to host largest-ever Ceramic and Hot Air Balloon Festival

(ĐN)- On April 22, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Department of Industry and Trade held a press conference to announce the series of events for the Dong Nai Ceramic and Hot Air Balloon Festival 2025 (Dong Nai Festival 2025).

Dong Nai Festival 2025 is one of the largest cultural and tourism events of the year, aimed at promoting traditional culture, developing tourism and the local economy, while also celebrating the significant event of the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification (April 30, 1975–2025).

According to the plan, Dong Nai Festival 2025 will take place from April 27 to 30.

The opening ceremony of the Dong Nai Festival events will take place at two locations. Specifically, for the Hot Air Balloon Festival, it will commence at 7 AM on April 27 at the Son Tien Ecotourism City Joint Stock Company (Son Tien Tourist Area), An Hoa Ward, Bien Hoa City. The Hot Air Balloon Festival will feature 50 hot air balloons symbolizing he 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification.

This is the largest hot air balloon festival ever held in Vietnam, with many distinctive activities including: hot air balloon rides, experience flights, hot air balloon tours, and a hot air balloon lantern festival at night. During the Hot Air Balloon Festival, residents will have the opportunity to experience free hot air balloon rides (weather permitting). Notably, on the evening of April 30, the hot air balloon lantern festival will take place at the Nguyen Van Tri riverside park in Bien Hoa City.

As for the traditional Bien Hoa Ceramic Festival, it will open at 5 PM on April 27 at the Dong Nai Provincial Event and Foreign Affairs Center. The Bien Hoa Traditional Ceramic Festival will showcase unique artistic ceramic products, possessing high cultural and aesthetic value. It will introduce the history, production process, and the development of the Bien Hoa pottery craft. Activities will include interactions between artisans and the public, helping to raise awareness of the value of traditional art and promote the development of the Bien Hoa pottery craft village.

According to the organizers of Dong Nai Festival 2025, the series of festival activities will not only introduce ceramics and hot air balloons but also leverage the synergy of auxiliary activities such as cultural exhibitions, folk games, art creation contests, and international cultural exchanges, providing diverse and profound experiences for participants.
