(ĐN) - On the morning of April 15, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism held the opening ceremony of the 4th Book and Reading Culture Day 2025 and an exhibition to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification (April 30, 1975 – 2025) at the Dong Nai Library.

In his opening speech, Director of the Dong Nai Library Tran Anh Tho stated that Book and Reading Culture Day not only affirms the position, role, and importance of books, honors the value of books and readers, but also serves as a reminder of the mission to build a learning society where everyone has equal, free, and creative access to knowledge.
In the context of strong digital transformation, reading still retains its core value but requires new approaches. Books are not only a source of knowledge, but also a companion, inspiring and opening new horizons for everyone.
With the theme: "Reading Books - Enriching Knowledge, Nurturing Aspirations, Promoting Innovation," this year’s Book Day saw the participation of libraries from districts, cities, Lac Hong University Library, Dong Nai Publishing House, and the Dong Nai Literature and Arts Association.
At the opening ceremony, delegates and students in Bien Hoa City visited the book exhibition and artistic book arrangement; while also experiencing the virtual reality technology exhibition themed "50 Years of Memories - The Journey of National Reunification."
On this occasion, the Dong Nai Literature and Arts Association exchanged and donated books to the Dong Nai Library and the libraries of the districts and cities, as well as to Lac Hong University Library.
The 4th Book Day and Reading Culture 2025 will take place until the end of April 16 at the Dong Nai Library.
