10th Ong Pagoda Festival opens

(DN) - On February 7 (the 10th day of the first lunar month), the Management Board of the That Phu Co Mieu, Hiep Hoa Ward, Bien Hoa City organized the opening ceremony of the 10th Ong Pgoda Festival in 2025.

During the opening ceremony, provinical leaders also offered incense to open the festival and participated in contributing to the fund for the poor. All funds raised from the festival will be used to support the poor in the province.

This year's Ong Pagoda Festival takes place from February 5 to February 10  the 8th to the 13th day of the first lunar month of the Year of the Snake) with various rituals including: welcoming the deities by land; the ceremony for the deity Quan Thánh De Quan; releasing fortune balloons and floating lanterns on the river.

In addition, the festival features performances of lion-dragon dances, martial arts, Vietnamese-Chinese calligraphy exchanges, and stage performances…

Ong Pagoda was built in 1684 and has now is 341 years old. The Ong Pagoda Festival was recognized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as a national intangible cultural heritage in 2023.
