(ĐN)- The National Kickboxing Championship concluded recently in Gia Lai province.

At the end of the event, martial artists of Dong Nai province excellently scored one gold, two silver and two bronze medals. The gold medal was earned by Duong Thuy Nhung in in 48kg low-kick category.
Lasting between March 3 and 10, the event attracted the participation of nearly 400 athletes from 39 provinces and cities nationwide, competing for 33 sets of medals for both men and women.
Kickboxing is a group of stand-up combat sports based on kicking and punching, historically developed from karate, muay Thai, Kun Khmer and boxing. Kickboxing is practiced for self-defense, general fitness, or as a contact sport.
