Huynh Nguyen Mai Phuong, a student from Dong Nai Province, was crowned Miss World Viet Nam 2022 after beating 36 contestants in the pageant finale on Friday night.

The stunning 23-year-old has an undergraduate degree in Business English from Dong Nai University and is currently pursuing a master's degree in English from HCM City's University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
Le Nguyen Bao Ngọc, 21, from Can Tho, is this year's first runner-up. She stands 1.85m tall and is a student at the International Faculty of Viet Nam National University in HCM City.
The second runner-up is Thanh Hoa native Nguyen Phuong Nhi, aged 20. Nhi is 1.7m tall and a law student.
Phuong was asked during the question-and-answer session, "If you had to pick between giving 1,000 meals each day and creating 1,000 jobs, which would you choose?"
She responded: "During the pandemic, I used to help prepare 3,000 to 5,000 meals per day as a volunteer in a charity kitchen. These two matters are really urgent. Why should we choose one when we can accomplish both? We can generate 1,000 jobs, which will provide millions of meals for the children of the world. And no one will be abandoned."
Phuong's linguistic skills and charming personality won her many fans at the competition. At the grand finale, she also took home the "Talent" awrd.
Miss World Việt Nam 2022 launched at the start of this year attracts thousands of contestants from across the country.
The final night was held at Quy Nhon, Binh Dinh Province, and 37 exceptional contestants were present.
The jury includes poet Huu Viet, Miss Việt Nam Ha Kieu Anh, Miss Viet Nam Tran Tieu Vy, Miss World Viet Nam Luong Thuy Linh, singer Le Quyen, and actor Minh Hang.
This year's Miss World Viet Nam will represent the country at the next Miss World pageant.
