(ĐN)- The 17th Vinh Cuu district open cycling tournament entitled “Returning to War Zone D” took place in the district early on April 24 at in Vinh An township.

The event attracted 3415 cyclists from 23 clubs from across the province, competing in five categories for amateur, professional and elderly cyclists.
As a result, Nguyen Thanh Nhat from Duong Emmaus of HCM city and Nguyen Nam Cuc from Vinh Cuu district came first in the competitions for professionals aged 16-40 and 41-45. Duong Thi Ngoc Thu, Nguyen Huu Tan from Vinh Cuu district’s Thanh Phu commune went first in the category for female and elderly racers. Meanwhile, Nguyen Trong Nghia ranked first in the category for amateurs.
The annual race was held by the district’s People Committee under the sponsorship of Dong Nai Agriculture Service Cooperative Alliance (DonaCoop) aimed to response the “Following President Ho Chi Minh’s moral example” campaign.
