In a notice on the plan to continue organising Vietnam’s 2021 professional football tournament on Friday, the VFF Executive Committee agreed that V.League 1-2021 will resume on February 12, 2022, with the rescheduled Round 13 matches of the first phase.

The second phase of the nation’s top-tier football league is expected to commence on February 16 and conclude on March 12.

Meanwhile, the 2021 National First Division Tournament (V.League 2) will return on November 20, 2021, with the rescheduled matches of Round 7 of the first phase. The second (and last) phase is set to run from December 20, 2021, to January 14, 2022.

The Vietnamese National Cup will see its Round of 16 clashes played on January 17, 2022, with the quarterfinal stage slated for February 8, 2022. The two semifinal clashes and the final will take place between March 15 and 18, 2022.

According to the VPF’s newly approved plan, there will be only one team relegated from V.League 1 to V.League 2 in the 2021 season, instead of 1.5 teams as originally planned. It is the same with the V.League 2 and the third-tier league.
