The open event of the contest attracted 90 athletes in Dong Nai and other 14 provinces and cities, competing in rapid chess in four age groups of U9, U11, U13 and U15 at website chess.com.
At the end of the event, hosts Dong Nai won three out of eight gold medals in the medal tally.
This is the first time the province has organized such an online competition, attracting 131 chess players to compete in both amateur and open events.
