The contest attracted the participation of 53 contestants with 51 Cai luong extracts from 18 troupes from across the country.
The event, which is jointly held by the General Department of Arts Performance and the Vietnam Association of Stage Artists, aims keep the tradition of Cai Luong (reformed theater) alive in the community and foster a love of this particular kind of music among the people.
