President Ho Chi Minh's 51st death anniversary commemorated

(ĐN)- A ceremony to commemorate the 51st death anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh (the 21st day of the seventh lunar month) was held at Tran Bien Temple of Literature on September 8.

 

(ĐN)- A ceremony to commemorate the 51st death anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh (the 21st day of the seventh lunar month) was held at Tran Bien Temple of Literature on September 8.

Attending the ceremony was Secretary of Dong Nai provincial Party Committee Nguyen Phu Cuong, Vice Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Ho Thanh Son, Chairman of People’s Committee Cao Tien Dung, Head of Department of Propaganda and Training Thai Bao, Deputy Chairwoman of People’s Committee Nguyen Hoa Hiep, along with representatives from departments, sectors, localities, organizations and local people.

At the ceremony, the participants offered incense, flowers to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh and recalled meaningful memories of the late President’s great contributions to the national revolution.

President Ho Chi Minh, name at birth Nguyen Sinh Cung, was born on May 19, 1890 and passed away on September 2, 1969 (the 21st of the 7th lunar month). In Vietnamese tradition, the death anniversary is commemorated based on the lunar calendar.
