The event, held by the General Department of Sports and Physical Training, the Vietnam Badminton Federation and Dong Nai Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, attracted a total of 113 athletes from 15 cities and provinces, competing in five categories of men’s and women’s singles and doubles and mixed doubles for a total prize fund of US$10,200.
Outstanding players will be source for the national team for the upcoming Southeast Asian Games.
The event will last until August 9.
