After five days of competition, hosts Dong Nai won one gold, one silver and one bronze medals. The gold medal was earned by Nguyen Thuy Linh in the category for women’s singles.
The event, held by the General Department of Sports and Physical Training, the Vietnam Badminton Federation and Dong Nai Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, attracted a total of 113 athletes from 15 cities and provinces, competing in five categories of men’s and women’s singles and doubles and mixed doubles for a total prize fund of US$10,200.
Outstanding players will be source for the national team for the upcoming Southeast Asian Games.
