Dong Nai ranks third at nat'l traditional martial arts tourney for students

(ĐN)- The National Traditional Martial Arts Tournament for Students closed on July 14 at Dong Nai provincial Sports Training and Competition Center.

After three days of competition, hosts Dong Nai won 6 golds and 9 silvers to rank third in the overall medal tally, after HCM city and Binh Dinh.

The tournament brought together 352 martial artists from 13 provinces and cities nationwide, competing for 36 sets of medals in demonstration event.

Jointly organized by the General Department of Physical Training and Sports, the Ministry of Education and Training, and Dong Nai Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the tournament aimed to offer a chance for martial artists to hone their skills, for the participating teams to select outstanding athletes in preparation for the 10th National School Games 2020, as well as to promote the training movement of traditional martial arts among people, especially students nationwide..
