At the end of the festival, Bien Hoa city won the first place after winning 14 gold, 10 silver and 14 bronze medals, followed by Trang Bom and Xuan Loc districts.
Jointly held by Departments of Labour, War Invalid, and Social Affairs, and Culture, Sports and Tourism, the competition attracted 200 athletes from 10 localities in the province, competing for medals in 5 games including athletics, swimming, table-tennis, weight-lifting and badminton.
The annual event offers a good opportunity for people with disabilities to exchange experiences. It also aims to help them find meaning in life, encourage hope and integrate into the community as well as to select outstanding athletes to compete at the upcoming National Sports Festival for Disabled People which will be held in Can Tho city and Thai Nguyen province.
