Earlier, in the category for four-woman teams, Dong Nai won a bronze medal. Athletes from the province will compete with team from Dong Thap in the quarter-final on May 14.
The tournament, which is jointly organized by the Vietnam Sepak Takraw Federation and Sam Son city’s People’s Committee, drew the participation of 300 athletes from 14 teams from across the country, competing for medals in the men’s and women’s doubles, and team categories
The event is an ideal platform for localities to share experience in sepak takraw training and learn from each other, while providing an opportunity to select new promising talent for the national team to compete at the upcoming 30th SEA Games.
It is scheduled to conclude on May 18.
