(ĐN)- The 22nd Ba Ria-Vung Tau Newspaper Marathon Competition took place in Vung Tau city, Ba Ria-Vung Tau province on Sunday.

At the end of the competition, runner Le Huu Loc of Dong Nai finished first in 10km run for men’s professional individual category, while Nguyen Thi Thuy Duong of the province went second in 5km run for women’s professional individual category.
In the team event, team from Binh Phuoc ranked first, followed by Bau Bang-Binh Duong while host Ba Ria-Vung Tau were third.
The annual event was co-organized by Ba Ria-Vung Tau Newspaper and the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
More than 1,000 athletes from 38 teams in nine provinces and cities in Southern region took part in categories including 2km, 3km, 5km, 10km for professional, amateur individuals and teams.
