The event saw the participation of 2,000 amateur and professional marathoners, including 100 runners from Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc, Tay Ninh, Binh Thuan, Lam Dong, Ba Ria-Vung Tau and host Dong Nai, competing in categories for amateur teams and professional individuals for both men and women.
The tournament, which was co-held by Dong Nai Radio-Television Station, the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the provincial Trade Union for Civil Servants and the provincial Youth Union, is part of activities to celebrate 44 years of the Southern Liberation Day and the International Labor Day.
