At the end of the competition, the organizers awarded 36 first, second and third prizes to outstanding individuals and teams in the chess event.
Meanwhile, Nguyen Duy Minh of An Hoa commune won the title in Chinese chess event, followed by defending champion of the provincial Chess and Chinese Chess Tournament Nguyen Phuc Loi.
The two-day event attracted 159 athletes from across the city, competing for 13 sets of medals in chess and Chinese chess events.
