(ĐN)- The 14th Vinh Cuu district open cycling tournament entitled “Returning to War Zone D” took place in the district early on April 21 at General Vo Nguyen Giap’s Temple in Tan An commune.

The event attracted 278 cyclists from 18 clubs across the province, competing in five categories for amateur, professional and elderly cyclists.
As a result, Dang Thanh Duoc from Vinh Cuu district came first in the competitions for professionals. Trinh Gia Huy, Nguyen Thi Tuyet My and Nguyen Huu Tuan, also from the district went first in the category for female and elderly racers (aged 45-60). Meanwhile, Le Thai Thach ranked first in the category for elderly racers (aged over 61).
In addition, the organizers also awarded the overall first team prizes for Vinh Cuu district in event for professionals and Tri An Senior High School, along with a fair-play prize.
The annual race was held by the district’s People Committee under the sponsorship of Dong Nai Agriculture Service Cooperative Alliance (DonaCoop) aimed to response the “Following President Ho Chi Minh’s moral example” campaign.
