Vu won the 189km stage from Buon Ma Thuot city of Dak Lak province to Nha Trang city of Khanh Hoa province in a time of 5:03.58. He was Daniel Carino from Laos and Nguyen Thang from Minh Giang – HCM City. This is the first time Bike Life Dong Nai has won a stage after nine stages.
Nguyen Minh Viet from VUS in HCM city retains the yellow jersey after nine stages with an overall time of 32:34.34.
Le Nguyet Minh of Minh Giang holds both the green sprinter’s jersey and red jersey for king of the mountains, while the white best young rider jersey is worn by Kim Chantou of Cambodia.
In the team rankings, Loc Troi An Giang Group is in top, followed by Domesco Dong Thap and VUS in HCM city.
Cyclists will compete in the 10th stage today from Nha Trang to Da Lạt city of Lam Dong province with a distance of 98km.
