The medals went to the province’s sepak takraw team. The same day, in wushu event, Nguyen Thi Chinh and Nguyen Thi Qui scored two gold medals in categories for women.
At the end of the festival, Dong Nai won 17 gold, 10 silver and 25 bronze medals, ranking 11th place in the overall medal tally, surpassing its target of wining 8-10 gold medals. This is the best result of the province at National Games.
Ha Noi topped the medal tally with 177 gold, 149 silver and 139 bronze medals, followed by HCM city and Military delegation.
The National Games, which is held every four years, attracted the participation of 65 sport delegations nationwide, competing in 473 disciplines in 36 sports.
