(ĐN)- Dong Nai province’s sports delegation led by Deputy Director of Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Xuan Thanh on November 14 burnt incense at Tran Bien Temple of Literature and held a send-off ceremony for the delegation ahead of their departure for Ha Noi for the 8th National Games.

On behalf of the provincial authorities, Thanh appreciated the determination and great efforts made by the athletes and coaches who overcame difficulties during the training process over the past time in preparation for the Games. Thanh asked that all of the members of the delegation be fully aware of their responsibilities in order to successfully fulfill their tasks at the largest national sporting event.
The 8th National Games will last from November 16 to December 10 with the opening ceremony to take place at My Dinh National Stadium on November 25. The National Games will feature 473 disciplines in 36 sports.
Dong Nai delegation with 250 athletes and 69 coaches will compete in 24 sports and target to score 8-10 golds, with the target of a top 15-20 place in the overall medal tally.
