(ĐN)- The national football tournament for underprivileged children, Ton Hoa Sen Cup 2018, opened on June 1 in HCM city.

The event, jointly held by Ho Chi Minh city's Public Security Newspaper and Vietnam Sports Newspaper, attracts the participation of eight teams, including team from Re-educational School No. 4 in Dong Nai province.

The teams are divided into two groups and compete in a round-robin format with the best four teams entering the semi-finals.

The champions will walk away with trophy and VND30 million bonus. The tournament is scheduled to close on June 6.

The event served as a playground for disadvantaged and vulnerable children, helping them make friends and gain confidence.
