In the event of the 8th provincial Sports Festival, Vinh Cuu ranked first in the medal tally with 7 gold and 1 bronze medals, followed by Trang Bom and Cam My districts. Meanwhile, in the youth event, Trang Bom came in first, followed by Xuan Loc and Bien Hoa city.
The tournament attracted the participation of 203 athletes from localities in the province, competing in two events of the provincial Sports Festival and for young athletes.
