(ĐN)- The 9th National Vovinam Tournament for Strong Teams, which is jointly held by Dong Nai Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the General Department of Sports and Physical Training and the Vietnam Vovinam Federation, concluded yesterday at the province's Sports Center.

At the end of the competition, martial artists of Dong Nai province scored 3 gold, 5 silver and 5 bronze medals to rank fourth.
Meanwhile, HCM city topped the ranking with 14 gold, two silvers and four bronze medals. Can Tho came in second with seven titles and Thanh Hoa was at third with five.
The tournament attracted more than 400 athletes from 32 teams. They competed to win 48 sets of medals in 22 weight categories in combat, and 22 events in performance.
The tournament offered a chance for athletes to hone their skills, in preparation for the upcoming National Sports Games 2018, scheduled to be held in Ha Noi in December.
