Ong Pagoda Festival attracts over 40,000 visitors

(ĐN)- The 6th Ong Pagoda Festival took place between February 25 and 28, attracting over 40,000 visitors.

During four-day event, many activities will be held, such as unicorn-lion-dragon dance, traditional music performance, calligraphy performance, etc.

The festival aims to contemplate and worship, recall ancestors, and pray for safety and prosperity for the country and people.

Ong Pagoda is located at Hiep Hoa commune, Bien Hoa city. It was built in 1684 by the Chinese Community in Cu Lao Pho (Pho isle). At first, it was named Quan De Pagoda, and later renamed That Phu Co Temple (or Ong Pagoda). In 2001, Ong Pagoda was listed as national cultural heritage.
