Seven tournament records were in the women’s individual and team events, including the 10m air rifle, 50m 3x20 rifle, 10m air pistol and 10m running target standard rifle categories.
In particular, the men’s 10m air pistol discipline saw Hanoian shooter Tran Chau Tung establish a new national record with a score of 242.8 points, breaking the old record of 241.9 points previously held by Nguyen Hoang Phuong of the Army team in 2017.
The Army team came out on top overall with 19 gold, nine silver and 13 bronze medals, followed by Hanoi with seven gold, seven silver and one bronze medals, and Ho Chi Minh City with five golds, six silvers and five bronzes.
The annual event attracted the participation of nearly 180 marksmen from 11 teams across the country, who vied for medals in 24 disciplines – 14 for men and ten for women.
