In the carom 1-cushion event, cueist Nguyen Xuan Son from host Trang Bom district overcame his rival Phan Thanh Loc from Bien Hoa city in the finale to win the champion title. Nguyen Tri Long from Thong Nhat district ward and Ngo Thanh Hai from Bien Hoa city shared the third place.
Meanwhile, the carom 3-cushion event began on March 7 with the competition of 48 athletes.
The tournament held by Trang Bom district and the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism attracted 81 cueists from 9 localities across the province, competing in the carom 1-cushion and carom 3-cushion events.
