The women’s national football squad will try their best to earn a berth at the World Cup 2019 by performing well at the finals of the 2018 AFC Women’s Asian Cup, which is scheduled for April 6-20 in Jordan.

The U23 team will play for the best result at the ASIAD taking place in Indonesia from August 15 to September 1. Also, the boys are expected to become the champions at the AFF Suzuki Cup tournament, which is slated for November 8-December 15.

Other targets have been set for younger football players. The U16 team is expected to advance to the finals of the AFC U16 Championship from September 15 to October 2. Meanwhile, under the leadership of coach Hoang Anh Tuan, the U19 team will continue its journey to conquer the final round of the AFC U19 Championship in Indonesia from October 18 to November 4.

Vietnamese football is believed to continue thriving in 2018 thanks to resounding victory of the U23 squad at the AFC U23 Championship 2018.
