In the female race, Nguyen Thi Thuy Duong from Dong Nai province came in second, after her rival from Binh Phuoc province. In addition, Dong Nai team overcame their rivals to win first prize in the open female team event as Tran Thi Thanh Thao and Kieu Thi Hai Yen went fourth and seventh, respectively.
The annual event was held by Binh Thuan province’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism with the participation of 41 teams comprising 313 athletes, both female and male, from 5 provinces, competing in a 6,300-meter course, the women’s course was 5,300 meters.
