The gold medal was scored by Tran Ngoc Minh Duy in U.9 individual rapid category, while Nguyen Pham Minh Thu - Nguyen Ngoc Truc Quynh – Nguyen Tran Thien An won the bronze medal in U.7 female team category.
The tournament brought together 350 chess players from 25 teams in 14 cities and provinces in Southern region, including Dong Nai province, competing for medals in rapid and blitz categories for individuals and teams.
