The festival attracted over 1,400 athletes from 30 teams across the town, competing for 116 sets of medals in 14 games including taekwondo, karate, badminton, table tennis, football, volleyball, traditional martial arts, swimming, track and field, chess, Chinese chess, taichi, billiards and tennis.
As a result, team from the district’s Trang Bom township ranked first with 30 gold, 24 silver and 28 bronze medals. Song Thao and Trung Hoa communes were second and third, respectively.
Outstanding athletes will be selected for the district to compete at the upcoming 8th Dong Nai Sports Festival.
