After four days of competition, Pham Phi Long of Dong Nai province scored one gold medal after defeating his rival from Thu Thien-Hue in the final match of the over 86kg Kumite event for men.

Ha Noi finished first with 4 gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze medals, followed by Binh Duong and Military team.
The tournament attracted the participation of 31 delegations across the country. It aimed to select outstanding athletes for the national team to compete at the international competitions.
