Thai Ngoc Tuong Minh wins bronze medal at world chess event

(ĐN)- Young chess master Thai Ngoc Tuong Minh of Dong Nai province has won a bronze medal at the World Teenage Blitz and Rapid Chess Championships 2017which recently concluded in Minks, Belarus.

 

(ĐN)- Young chess master Thai Ngoc Tuong Minh of Dong Nai province has won a bronze medal at the World Teenage Blitz and Rapid Chess Championships 2017which recently concluded in Minks, Belarus.

Minh won the medal in the under-10 category with 6.5 points, 0.5 point lower than gold medalist from Russia Shubenkova Veronika.

At the end of the contest, Vietnam scored one gold, 3 silver and five gold medals.

The 1st World Teenage Blitz and Rapid Chess Championships, lasting from June 2 to 6, drew the participation of 649 young players from 24 countries, competing in four categories of U8, U10, U12 for both boys and girls.

Vietnam with 19 players, including 2 players from Dong Nai province, is the only country in Southeast Asian Region to compete at the event.
