(ĐN)- Team from Re-educational School No. 4 in Dong Nai province excellently beat Ha Noi’s SOS Village 3-2 in the final of the national football tournament for underprivileged children, Ton Hoa Sen Cup 2017, which wrapped up in Binh Dinh province yesterday.
Re-educational School No. 4 under the Ministry of Public Security took a prize of VND30 million, along with the fair-play prize.
Earlier, in the match for third place, Phu Tho beat Ca Mau in the penalty shoot-out to take the bronze medal.
The event, jointly held by Ho Chi Minh city's Public Security Newspaper and Vietnam Sports Newspaper, attracts the participation of eight teams. The teams are divided into two groups and compete in a round-robin format with the best four teams entering the semi-finals.
The event served as a playground for disadvantaged and vulnerable children, helping them make friends and gain confidence.
