(ĐN)- The 2017 Dong Nai Open Chess Tournament for Young Teenagers and Children kicked off yesterday at the provincial Sports Center.

The two-day tournament brought together nearly 200 young chess players from 15 teams in 6 provinces and cities. The players were divided into age groups: U6, U7, U9, U11 and U15, and professionals to compete for medals under Swiss standards in categories for individuals and teams.
The tournament offers a playground for chess players to exchange, heighten their competition skills and experiences. It also aims to promote chess playing movement in Dong Nai and other provinces as well.
