At the end of the competition, players of Dong Nai scored 5 gold, 5 silver and 7 bronze medals. Meanwhile, players from HCM city overwhelmed their rivals with 13 gold medals. They were followed by Binh Duong with 6 gold medals.
The two-day tournament brought together nearly 200 young chess players from 15 teams in 6 provinces and cities. The players were divided into age groups: U6, U7, U9, U11 and U15, and professionals to compete for medals under Swiss standards in categories for individuals and teams.
The tournament offers a playground for chess players to exchange, heighten their competition skills and experiences. It also aims to promote chess playing movement in Dong Nai and other provinces as well.
