The two-day tournament brought together nearly 87 young chess players from 7 teams from across the province. The players were divided into six age groups: U7, U9, U11, U13 and U15 to compete for medals under Swiss standards in categories for individuals and teams.
The tournament offers a playground for chess players to exchange, heighten their competition skills and experiences. It also aims to promote chess playing movement in schools as well as select outstanding players for Dong Nai to compete at upcoming national chess tournament.
