At the end of the competition, young chess players from Bien Hoa city excellently won 15 gold medals in 15 out of 20 categories of 5 age groups. Cam My went second with 3 gold medals. The other two gold medals belonged to Vinh Cuu district ad Long Khanh town.
The two-day tournament brought together 87 young chess players from 7 teams from across the province. The players were divided into six age groups: U7, U9, U11, U13 and U15 to compete for medals under Swiss standards in 20 categories for individuals and teams.
The tournament offers a playground for chess players to exchange, heighten their competition skills and experiences as well as select outstanding players for Dong Nai to compete at the national chess tournament for young players scheduled to be held in July in Da Lat city.
