Twelve walls on Nguyen Thai Binh Ward in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City will be turned into graffiti artworks designed to raise public awareness of rhino protection from January 9-15.
graffiti artworks for rhino protection hinh 0 This is part of the week of rhino art, organized by Change and the People’s Committee of Nguyen Thai Binh Ward, and 10,000 viewers will be chosen to join interaction activities.
Participants can enjoy artworks and join activities which are aimed to inspire the community, local authorities and youth towards rhino protection and the risk of the extinction of the animal.
During the week, visitors can admire the transformation of the alleys’ walls into art representing different angles of rhinos.
Ten artists, including Trang Suby, Florian Nguyen and Danny Dao are expected to bring some unique solo and group painting performances to the audience.
All the interaction activities are expected to take place from January 12. Spectators will have a chance to finish these artworks by leaving their fingerprints on rhino horns as a commitment of wildlife protection. Besides, the program will feature a game named “Who steal rhino horns” in which participants will play the role of detectives to search for clues hidden in the 12 paintings to find out criminals.
After the event, these 12 works will be kept in those alleys to create a unique rhino corner to attract visitors in Ho Chi Minh City.
