(ĐN)- As many as 258 students from schools across Dong Nai province took part in the first-ever swimming tournament for students at the provincial Sports Center on Saturday.
At the end of the competition, the organizers awarded 48 sets of medals for amateur swimmers in two categories of frog-style and free-style for both male and female individuals.
The event jointly held by the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Department of Education and Training and Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs aims to promote the swimming movement among youngsters as well as increase the prevention of child injuries in the province.
