At the end of the event, martial artists from Dong Nai province scored 3 gold, 6 silver and 4 bronze medals to finish sixth. HCM city successfully defended their first place, earning 13 gold, 8 silver and 10 bronze medals. They were followed by Can Tho city and Vinh Long province.
The event, the 14th of its kind, drew the participation of 489 athletes from 30 provinces, cities, including 19 martial artists from Dong Nai, competing for 59 sets of medals in categories for athletes of two age groups 12-15 and 16-18.
The annual tournament provided a chance for the participating teams to select the promising athletes to compete in the National Sports Games scheduled to be held in Thanh Hoa province in August.
