(ĐN)- Bien Hoa city won 9 gold, 4 silver and 5 bronze medals to triumph at the 2016 Dong Nai Taekwondo Championship which concluded on July 24 at the provincial Sports Center.
The event co-organized by the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the provincial Taekwondo Association and Thong Nhat district People’s Committee attracted the participation of 150 martial artists from 10 delegations across the province, competing for 24 sets of medals for both men and women.
Nhon Trach district came in second place with 6 gold, 3 silver and 5 bronze medals, while Dinh Quan district ranked third with1 gold, 5 silver and 11 bronze medals.
The annual event, the fourth of its kind, aims to promote the sports movement as well as offer a good opportunity for local marital artists to hone their skills and gain valuable experience.
