(ĐN)- Two teams from Dong Nai province entered the semi-final round of the 2016 “Chiec Thia Vang” (golden spoon) cooking contest in Southeastern region.
Accordingly, the teams from Dong Nai Hotel and Tre Xanh Restaurant in Dong Nai with dishes made from two specialties of Tan Trieu pomelo and Long Khanh rambutan has overcome their rivals to compete at the semi-final round of the contest.
The contest, the fourth of its kind organized by Vietnamese porcelain maker Minh Long 1 Co. Ltd in collaboration with the Business Studies and Assistance Center (BSA), aims to honour professional chefs who have conducted research about nutrition and introduced Vietnamese specialties and healthy dishes to tourists.
At the previous three editions, Dong Nai Professional Chefs Association has won high prizes with local popular dishes designed under beautiful European style. The four teams will compete at the qualifying of the contest in June 9.
